Canyoneering with Pura Vida Adventures

Sunday I was very fortunate to join Joe with Pura Vida Adventures on one of his Big Bradley canyoneering trips. Even though I had done a little rappelling in the past I joined the Pura Vida staff and clients for a rappelling clinic before we loaded up and headed into the canyon. It was a good thing we did the clinic because when you are standing on top of a 75' waterfall is not exactly the time you want to remember how to rappel!

I can't say enough good things about this trip. It was quite possibly the best thing I have done this summer, and I've done a lot! Anyone who has been reading this blog for awhile knows that I have a thing for waterfalls and the canyons that contain them. Usually in the Southeast you are able to skirt the edges of waterfalls and still do a little cascading while exploring the canyons but sometimes the waterfalls are seemingly impossible obstacles and I have frequently found myself wishing I had a rope. Well, now that I have taken rope down into a canyon I can't wait to do it again!

If you are ever looking to do something different out in the woods I'd recommend going on a guided canyoneering trip with Pura Vida Adventures. It is much better than the normal options like zip-lining and is the perfect way to experience the good life!
